Product Description

We present a handy set of heat-shrink tubing made from high-quality polyethylene. Our set is characterised by the fact that it contains several sizes of heat shrink tubing in one practical package. No more searching for small heat shrink tubes somewhere in the tool drawer. Now all you have to do is look in the box, grab what you need and get to work. It's that easy!
Shrinking is done with an electric or gas-fuelled heater (preferably with temperature control) or, if you are careful, with a burner that uses a yellow flame so that the heating temperature is 120÷200 °C. Before shrinking, the workpiece to be coated must be cleaned and degreased with sandpaper and then heated to ~60 °C. After applying the shrink element, heat it evenly from the centre and all around, gradually shifting the heating towards the ends to avoid local overheating. Correct shrinking is free of creases, dents and overheating.
