In addition to the well-known specifications of the Raspberry Pi Pico, this board supports 2.4GHz wireless single-band connections. Bluetooth 5.2 is also supported, so nothing stands in the way of wireless data transfer.

The Pico W has a 2.4 GHz radio interface with a CYW43439 from Infineon. The antenna is an onboard antenna licensed from ABRACON (formerly ProAnt). The wireless interface is connected to the RP2040 via SPI. Due to pin limitations, some of the wireless interface pins are shared. The Infineon CYW43439 DIN/DOUT and IRQ all share one pin of the RP2040. To achieve the best wireless performance, the antenna should be placed in an open space. For example, if there is metal under or near the antenna, this can reduce performance in terms of both gain and bandwidth.
