The VARIA modification set is for FRITZ!Box and Speedport router. With this CLIP pigtail you can use external antennas for greater signal strength and improved sensitivity, which enhances the reliability of the communication over short ranges, because the signals can be received more clearly, which in turn reduces retransmission caused by weak signal strength.
The RG178 Cable:
RG178 coaxial cable with an impedance of 50 ohms. It is one of the most popular very thin RF coaxial cables for RF signal transmission. At 1 MHz it has an attenuation of 12 dB/m, at 2.4 GHz it has an attenuation of 2.5 dB/m.
