The Zipabox2 from Zipato is a flexible smart home gateway, because thanks to the modular expansion options, the Zipabox2 can be expanded to include various smart home technologies. These include, for example, Z-Wave, ZigBee, EnOcean, 433 MHz and KNX. Furthermore, hard-wired connections from older electronic devices (e.g. security sensors) as well as additional functions such as backup and emergency power supply can also be integrated. The expansion modules are available individually and are simply attached to the Zipabox using a snap-in device.

The Zipabox2 has an easy-to-use but very powerful web-based user interface where you can monitor all connected devices and create your own automation scenarios in the “Zipato Rule Creator”. The intuitive graphical user interface also allows users to create their own scenarios in the home, even without programming experience.

Once configured, the gateway works standalone, but also offers cloud support for advanced monitoring, messaging and programming services.
