The Ultrastar Data60 hybrid storage platform is a cornerstone for next-generation decoupled and software-defined storage (SDS) systems. The compact, efficient form factor provides ample room for various combinations of HDDs and SSDs for the perfect balance of capacity, performance and cost. With our 22TB CMR HDDs, the Ultrastar Data60 offers up to 1.56 PB1 of raw storage in a compact and efficient form factor.

A flash data acceleration tier can be added to run both fast and big data applications from a single platform. The Ultrastar Data60 meets the demanding storage requirements of large enterprise customers, storage OEMs, cloud service providers and resellers/integrators who require dense, shareable HDD or hybrid storage.

IsoVibe™ decoupling technology
Precise cuts on the base decouple the hard drives in the housing and ensure effective damping of vibrations. This allows the hard drives to deliver peak performance at all times, even under high loads.

ArcticFlow™ temperature zone technology
Cool air is directed into the centre of the enclosure and flows around the hard drives, which are therefore less exposed to temperature stresses than in conventional systems. This allows fans to run slower, vibration is reduced, power consumption is lower, devices are quieter and ultimately more reliable.

Western Digital Resource Manager
A GUI-based tool for real-time monitoring and management of the platform with a consolidated dashboard displaying key information. Additional views enable platform configuration, health monitoring and maintenance.
