The Compute Module IO Board V3 is designed for use with the Raspberry Pi Compute Modules:- CM1(826-8825)- CM3(123-2011)- CM3L(123-2012)This I/O breakout board plugs onto the Compute Module to allow access to various ports that you would see on the traditional Raspberry Pi boards.Why do I need this? You can use the CM3 I/O board as an adapter to set up your compute module. The compute modules themselves don’t have connectors on board, they are designed to be plugged into applications, which is where the CM3 I/O board comes in. It has all the things that are harder to add already on the board. There is also the option to add additional components if you need them.
