With this adapter from Delock, the audio signal can be decoupled from an HDMI transmission. While the image signal is displayed on a TV or monitor, the audio signal can be output to a surround receiver via the second HDMI connection. This means that an existing AV receiver or soundbar can still be used even if there is no suitable Ultra HD connection.

Unlike conventional digital S/PDIF audio outputs, all modern surround formats can be transmitted to the receiver via the HDMI audio output.

Alternatively, the eARC function can be activated on the extractor. In this case, the audio signal of the connected TV set is output at the HDMI audio connection of the set.

Note: Operation on the HDMI ARC connection of a soundbar is not possible, the extractor requires a normal HDMI input.
