This heat sink by Delock is used to dissipate heat from an M.2 SSD. It is simply mounted around the SSD, the heat is dissipated from the SSD to the heat sink via the heat conducting pads.
The robust metal housing and the integrated fan ensure an optimum temperature of the memory through active cooling.
