Pairing it with a Z-Wave smart home system requires nothing more than activating the battery and scanning the QR code. Making the door sensor invisible requires little more than a hidden drill hole in the door frame (jamb).

Up to 2 years battery life. With its all-new technology, the Aeotec Recessed Door Sensor 7 now lasts twice as long as older models. Battery replacement is done by removing the Recessed Door Sensor 7 from the door frame. Then the battery is replaced and the sensor is simply reinserted into the door frame.
