The RUT241 is an industrial-grade LTE router with Cat 4 support that enables mobile data connections with download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and uploads of up to 50 Mbps. OpenVPN is used to establish an encrypted tunnel to the IT center, through which technicians can access the web interfaces of the inverters. At the same time, the router transmits performance and error data to a central monitoring system via MQTT. If the connection becomes unstable, the automatic restart function (ping reboot) is used to restart the router and restore connectivity.
